our new blog!  Today is our first posting for our blogging adventure.  We hope that our blog will provide you a place to interact with other family child care providers. 
 
We think a great way to kick off our blog would be to learn a little bit about you.  Please take a moment to tell us where you are from , how long you have been in family child care and what you think makes family child care truly unique.

Hey there everybody - just wanted to say hello. I can't wait to start using our blog. Most of you know me but here it is anyway.... I've been a child care provider for 23 years. I've lived all over the world and currently live in Cheyenne where my two grown daughters and I run a wonderful home child care center. I have 5 kids of my own ranging in ages of 28 - 3 :) and one awesome granddaughter who will soon be 3. Kids are my life and I really enjoy working with the grown ups who care for them!

Hi, I'm Laura :) I've been my own FCCH since 1998, here in Casper... have enjoyed watching my children and the children I care for grow upward :) In fact, one of my very 1st little girls that I opened with, came by a few weeks ago to ask if she could advertise for her babysitting business -- of course I said Yes! :0) she showed me her first aid and cpr card, and explained that she even went thru the babysitting course here in town, it truly comes back around :D I have 5 children altogether, my 2 stepdaughters have made me a grandma- 3 times over :o), my daughter is set to graduate from MP school for the marines, and is off to Japan for a 2 year tour the 16th of this month :oD and my 2 boys are 15, and 16 with the youngest itching for his driving permit (o_0).... so! Loving life and the children that keep me grounded :0)

I just found this site, after attending the Regional PEP conference. I have operated a family daycare in numerous places for the last 15 years. I am currently in Lusk, and plan to be here for a long time. I have 4 children that I have the privledge to be home with. My son is 9, my twin girls are 3 and my baby is 16 months. I hope to someday build onto our home so that I can have a "center" with learning centers but for now our play is based in the family living room and at the kitchen table. I am looking forward to getting to know more providers and be able to connect with other people that have the same passion for kids that I have.
